8 cutting Butterfly Sword/Knife - Bart Cham Dao
By learning to deliver power beyond the physical extent of the hands this training expands and improves that which was developed in the previous boxing forms.
The 8 cutting broad swords or butterfly knives are in fact arm length broadswords and the form consists of eight sections.
<span style=" new=" "="">The usage practiced can be applied to any weapon, either double or single.
POLE FORM
Pole Form - Luk Dim Boon Kwun
Building on the work done in the Baat Cham Dao form the Luk Dim Boon Kwun training increases the Wing Chun practitioner’s power and energy delivery.
Practice of the Luk Dim Boon Kwun builds power and energy in the overall structure and ability to deliver shock and raw power to the strikes.
Where the Baat Cham Dao equates to the dumb bells of power/energy training system the Luk Dim Boon Kwun would equate to the heavy bar bell of that training.
It is the source for raw power and develops the muscles in the wrists, arms, upper body, back, waist and legs in order to deliver power to the techniques and enhances the work done previously in the boxing forms and Baat Cham Dao form.
The form is relatively simple but the supplementary training to be able to do the form well is where the real work and benefit is.
